Males have blue nares (nostrils) females have pink/peach nares, they stay small, they are very social so a single kept bird needs several mirrors and plenty of things to do plus lots of interaction with u, they live between 8-10 yrs. They can be taught to speak single syllable words and mimic many sounds such as a parrot can it just takes more time, they do a multitude of different activities, they love fruits such as orange slices with the rind still attached apples bananas and other fruits, they like millet and leafy greens. Love small seeds, are a great first time bird can b in pairs or groups provided a large enough cage.food consist of a seed and pellet mixture wings can be clipped to keep flightless or can be left full flight. Can learn it's name and come when called very affectionate with owner
