How do they know for sure that the Six Flags rides are safe?

Report as

I don't think anything is 100% safe. You probably have a bigger chance of getting hurt in a car accident then on a ride. It's just when it does happen it is a big thing just like plane crashes.

Like the other comment said they are tested and inspected. But they also say that they are so safe because they have had them for a really long time with 0 problems

They spend millions on building and maintenance of these rides. They are very safe because they are constantly monitored and well maintained i personally never been to six flags but i have been on some crazy roller coasters and they have advanced computers and systems monitoring every single piece of track on that roller coaster. well have fun if you decide to go. And keep in mind that millions of people get on roller coasters each day and the worst that happens to them is probably nausea or stomach ache :P

well, think of it this way. six flags has been around for a long time. it hasnt been shut down. if the rides were that unsafe and really had that much of a chance of killing people then they wouldnt be open. of course, evantually someones bound to get hurt, or even worse, but that just happens. its a theme park, you cant expect someone along the line not to get hurt.

The fact that they r made by humans means that they arent perfectly safe no matter how brilliant the engineer is who designed them. But the rate of injuries and fatalities is low

Accidents happen, like the gal at 6 flags in Louisville that lost both feet when a cable snapped and cut them off of her. The park closed soon after and has since been sold.

Lots of tests and inspections, calculations and simulations.
But bad things can still happen(usually because idiots ignore warnings)
