How often should a landlord perform inspections on a rental property?

How often should a landlord come and inspect a rented house? This landlord wants to inspect the property at least monthly, and after any company has visited. Are they breaking any rules or laws?

You could check with your local Housing Authority. Most states, as long as they give 24 hour notice they are breaking no laws. Check your rent agreement to make sure they do stipulate a notice beforehand or the landlord may try to just show up anytime they feel like.

Should be part of your lease agreement. Should state how often they want to inspect property. Most lease agreements will be for 2 times a year. To answer your other question, no it's not against the law if they want to inspect more frequently. Check your lease to see if it specifies. I'm assuming you have a lease agreement
