criminology is the study of criminal behavior while criminal justice is "the system of law enforcement that is directly involved in apprehending, prosecuting, defending, sentencing, and incarcerating those who are suspected of or have been charged with criminal offenses" (copied that off my mac dictionary) if that helps create a difference...
The main difference between criminology and criminal justice is in definition, trends and the future. Generally, criminology is the application of the scientific method to explain the interactions of law-making, law-breaking, and the reactions of society to these processes whereas criminal justice applies criminological research findings.
