I stay up so late every night (11 or 12) and wake up early (6 or 7) the next morning, is this bad for my health?

if so, what are some steps i could take to help me fall asleep, besides sleeping pills.... i think they're dangerous.

Depends, age metabolism and just individual habits can vary person to person, young kids need about 10+hrs of sleep per night but teenagers and young adults can often get by just fine on 6-8hrs per night. If you find yourself feeling sleepy or just "dragging" during the day you probably are not getting enough sleep. Having a set routine every night will help your mind prepare for sleep. Doesn't really matter *what* you do as long as you do it the same way. So say at 10pm you go and get your pajamas on, brush your teeth wash you face, put lotion on if you use it, and get into bed. You shouldn't have a TV or anything else distracting on when you lay down. My routine includes a fan running to mask house noises and reading for about an hour before bedtime, but everyone is different and the routine is what is important. You could also try melatonin , it is available over the counter and is a natural sleep aid that is very safe to use. :)

Yes this is bad for your health. This can stop your growing and harm other parts of your body that NEED sleep. The average human needs AT LEAST 8hours of sleep everyday. You should read, write, drink warm milk, tea, think about your day, draw, eat a snack, take a bath,
