What are the qualities of a best friend?

I have this really great friend who I've known for a really long time but I'm not sure if I should consider her my best friend.

I agree with you Clemence...respecting and mire importantly to me is if your friend says she wants to meet you because she wants to talk to you them you would do anything to accommodate her and not out her or him off for whenever you want or 2 or 3 weeks out, that's crazy...I'm not sure if that friend is important enough for you to wanna stop what your doing to meet up with her... not sure if she'll consider you her best friend or not with such dis.....what do u think

Well, has she always been there for you , despite the situation, and has she also kept all of your secrets safe to herself? Moreover, do you enjoy being around with her, and do you guys get along easily?
If she has fulfilled those qualities and what I had just asked are right, then she should be your best friend :)

Some of the qualities of a best friend are reliability, always tell you the truth, gives you encouragement, gives you respect and supports you always. Your best friend will also protect and love you always.

Does she talk about you behind your back? Does she tell anybody what you have told her? Is she always there for you ? just because youve known them for a while i wouldnt consider that a bestfriend. You have to look over all those things ^^

She never talks about me in a bad way so if she does talk about me behind my back, it's in a good way. I tell her lots of secrets and she doesn't breath another word about them, except with me of course. She's always been there for me and giving me great advice and helping me with what not. So I guess she must be my best friend ^_^
