Are you in school or work or something? Because I felt the same way with my first child.... Never felt like I did enough because I had to work double shifts at least 6 days a week. Just make the most of the time you do have with your child. Try to set boundaries and goals for the both of you and stay VERY consistent. I've got three kids and a step child so tell me more and I can try helping you some.
There are a couple of options that you can explore in order to raise your child when you are out hunting. Some of the options I see people like you doing are getting a baby sitter who can take care of the child while you are away, you can also take your child to a daycare center where you will pick them up after your busy day. The time that you are at home with your child you should capitalize that time so that the child might feel your presence even when you are gone and not to believe that the other mothers are more important than you, mums love is irreplaceable.
