Will locks of love accept dyed hair??

From my understanding during my years as a cosmetologist I have found that locks of love will not accept hair that has been dyed. Locks of love wants hair that has not been chemically treated in anyway. Such as hair that has not been permed, died, etc. Has to be non-processed hair to my understanding.
