Why does it hurt your hand if you hit a baseball many time ?

I was practicing my batting at batting cage and as I increase the speed of the ball when I hit it with a firm grip it sometime hurt my hand but when I sometime loosen the grip and batted it sometime doesn't hurt, my dad think it the vibration of the bat that hurt my hand is there any way technique to hit it with out hurting my hand.

Harmonic vibrations. When the ball hits the bat it vibrates causing the sting. A loose grip dampens the vibrations better.

It hurts because of the force that the hand uses to hit the baseball. Also, when the ball hits the bat, it imparts energy on the bat and the bat pushes against the hand, which makes the hand feel pain.
