Lots of things. cracked engine block, leaky or broken headgasket, piston rings are severely worn, fuel backing up due to bad engine timing and leaking through valves.... Have the engine overhauled if you can't find the problem. Or donate any type of vehicle to a charity like 1-800-kars4kids They will pickup for free, and it doesn't have to be a car!

The main problem of having fuel in the crankcase is a faulty carburetor. This can originate from a gas station after the crankshaft seal was broken when they were getting water into the tank.
