Why is my TV/Xbox doing this?

Hi I'm new to this site but I'll try! I recently purchased a cheap hdmi cable from amazon - (link here http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Cable-2M-6-Feet/dp/B0002L5R78/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306870385&sr=8-1 sorry for the copy and paste type url). Anyways after I hooked it up to my 32 inch 720p tv, I notices that there were these weird graphical errors - namely there was awful broken up lines instead of full lines and some fugly textures. I especially notices the broken lines because with my component cable that almost NEVER happened! So after I realized the HDMI was bad I re connected my component - only now my COMPONENT is having the same troubles. It never had problems before - for instance on Halo 3, warthog turret lines were always full. Now they r broken up - along with most of the landscape. PLEASE help I'm scared! Could the hdmi have somehow corrupted my entire system?! The games I experienced these problems on were Borderlands, Halo 3, and Gears 2, which didn't have any such problems before, if it helps. Thanks.
