Why do people bully?

there has been SOO many people taking their own lives because of it or cutting themselves. we learn about it so much in school, yet people still do it. why? it just makes them look bad

Bullies feel like they are getting away with someone or actually take joy in making people feel bad. It is sad and seems to happen more and more.

because usually there parents beat them so they take out there anger on a random kid to make themselves cheer up......sad huh?

There's Many Reasons As To Why People Bully.
They're Insecure, They Used To Get Bullied, Their Parents Have Problems Like Drinking, Drug Abuse, Etc.
Mostly Insecurity.

It makes the bully feel tough & in control. Maybe they've had a rough life at home & trying to take anger out on the person they're bullying. Or because they have low self esteem.

I really don't think bullies bully because they feel insecure. I mean some probably do. Every situation is different. I think some people do it without thinking about it or just because they think it is funny. Also some people have thicker skin and things don't bother them so they don't realize that you're hurt. Some people have siblings who have always picked on them but it never bothered them so they always assumed that that was the way everyone was.

Maybe because their parents were mean to them and hit them so they think they can hit other Kids to make them fell the same.

Very often, bullies come from homes that are pretty scary places to be. There is frequently physical abuse, and almost always mental and emotional abuse that leaves the bully feeling powerless and afraid. They feel inadequate and lonely, and picking on someone who is smaller and more vulnerable makes them feel powerful, and takes away their fear for a while.

Bullies are essentially cowards. They are re-enacting whatever abuse occurs in their own homes, where they are the smaller, more vulnerable one being bullied by an adult caregiver who is supposed to love them, but who, for whatever reason, does not.

This is one explanation for bullying. It is not the only one, and there are other reasons why a person becomes a bully.
