Due to phys. abuse I have left my husband,over a year now,all the bruises and cuts are gone but one thing is not-my teeth r still broken....

what can I get to temp. cover them up? can't afford dental work,can't afford/get dental ins. The state I'm in doesn't have adult dent. coverage w/MEDICAID. PLEASE HELP!!

Universities and colleges that have dental schools also do free dental work. Look up what ever is in your area.

The catch is it is done by the students but over seen by a dentist.

Dental work is hard to come by free because the state & Fed does not count dental as a necessity unfortunately...

Check for an organization called Mission Mercy. They do about everything for free. Even if you have to drive a couple of hours it would be worth it.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I just wanted to applaud you for having the courage to leave that scumbag. I know it is very hard for women in abusive relationships to leave their spouses. I hope you find the help you need.

Dross is right!! I was a student at a school that worked with dentist who accepted low income patients. The dentist were in training or ready to graduate and they did practice good dentistry. Go for it gal.Google or look in you directory for locations.I had my class out of the Boston Floating Hospital, so check you local hospital for that too
Sorry you had such an abusive husband..glad you are out of it now..Never let a man in your life again who has a temper.You are too good for that.

Thanks for telling me where to start looking for the dental
schools n the reassurance that there is some that do that kind of thing. It gives me hope that i might be able to find a school that will help me. Ive had alot of doors shut in my face n just kinda gave up on findin help and tried to accept it. It is embarrassing to tell anybody n has made me feel so ugly n self conscious that I haven't been able to even meet my neighbors because I dnt want to talk to anyone because they will be able to see how disgusting it looks. I've come to the point I dnt even want to talk to my kids because the whole time I'm thinking in my head that they can c it n think I'm disgusting too. I dnt even talk to their friends when there over because I dnt want to embarrass them. Thank you so much for the advice.

dear lady..you are only talking about your outside appearance, but beauty truly comes from within.that is why i love the movie beauty and the beast..when beast dies and becomes the prince..people [my friends and I are sad and say] where is the tender sweet beast..bring him back.beast was so awesome..
do not sell yourself short..you are loved for within and the care you give your children or the help you give a neighbor..i would love you as you are if you lived here..
always be proud sweetie..you are amazing for trying to take care of an issue troubling you.and you left a very sick man who abused. Bless you..keep working at your goals but remember.there is nothing wrong with you..many people have physical issues..my neighbor has no arms but who thinks about it..she's a happy person..xoxoxoxo.
