How do you legally disown your parents?

I know there's a diff term for it but I forgot it.....

Do you know how much it costs to live on your own? Mommy and Daddy don't have to give you a dime to help you out. At 16 you can barely get a decent job to cover rent, electricity, gas, groceries, medical insurance, clothes, vehicle payments, college... the list goes on and on. You have 2 more years until you're 18- suck it up!

Are you going to move out or have you already? I dont think you can legally disown your parents. If your 18 or older you could just move out but i dont think you can..

Why would you want to that? They dedicated their life to you.

Go online and google how old you need to be in your state to get legally emancipated.

Explain. I almost guarantee your overreacting unless you get beaten every day. (in which case you should call the cops)

Emancipation! You have to go to court and prove you can support yourself and take care of yourself! Think about it, it's a huge decision! You don't want to regret it and you will!

Not to mention, you have to JUSTIFY why you should be emancipated. I don't think saying "I can't stand them" will qualify. Is there family or someone you could stay with until you're 18? You could stay with them and help out with their bills to see how hard it will really be when you do move out on your own. Keep in mind that moving out will be expensive, and rent/utilities would be in ADDITION to food, gas, car payments, etc.

what did your parents do to anger you so much? I don't agree with my folks sometimes but i still love them and love not having to pay rent. :)

You can actually divorce your parents I believe. I think a 12 year old kid did it. But I personally wouldn't do it
