What is the difference between a flute and a recorder

Report as

Recorders are played with the end facing away from you like a trumpet.. Flutes are played sideways parallel to your mouth..

then find something else to do and get off of ask.com. you don't have to be on here and if you don't know what to ask then obviously its not necessary for you to be on here! go play a videogame or something.!

A recorder is an inverted flute. Same body but a different mouth piece. A flute you flutter your breath over the mouth piece to create sound versus a recorder you blow into.
