I have a small paper cut on my cornea. On average, how long does it take to heal enough to put contacts in and wear them without pain?

You really need to see an eye doctor. You don't want it scarring or healing funny. He can probably give you eye drops to help with pain.

I'd wait one week. If there is still discomfort don't wear the contacts. They'll only irritate the wound.

You should see a doctor right away to make sure there is no permanent damage. Don't put contacts in until you see your doctor.

I was just in to my eye doc for this same reason. I hurts so much but ,yes, the eye and mouth are the fastest healing parts of our bodies. Doc told me that within 48hrs tops it would heal over. but if you've been touching it you do need an antibiotic since your eye can get a build up of bacteria that can turn into fungus and mess up your cornea permanently. Do not put a patch over it! This allows for fungus 2 grow more rapidly.
