Is there anyway to temporarily block emotions?

If your a teenage girl then no, I don't think it's possible. All other genders and ages are excluded. Teen girls are incapable of controlling any emotions or filtering any thought that comes into there heads. They are a real treat to be around and live with for that matter.

I was being sarcastic. You said it yourself, most do go around out of control with emotions. I have a 16 yr. old that has been hitting a nerve with me lately. I didn't intend to offend you or anyone else. It was just another poor attempt at humor on my part.

keep them to your self, they say thats bad but i do it. let your anger take over you. it makes you STRONGER. Dont take my advice. I need serious help

I'm sure that's not mentally healthy. This could continue into a bad habit and pretty soon you'll end up doing it all the time. Please don't do it. Let it out by talking to your best friend, pet, siblings, or your stuffed animal(:

Your better than that. Don't let it get the best of you. Whatever it is that you are feeling I'm sure it will fall in its place sooner or later. So if you're planning to concentrate on blocking it out then technically you are still aware of this emotion and it won't ever go away.

Yes, you can manage you're emotions. You can not block them. Emotions are chemicals. Unless you are clinically depressed I don't suggest medications. I am making a general statement I am not saying you are clinically depressed.

Pretend to be a robot. The only other way emotions can be destroyed is through a lobotomy. They were terrible. I suggest that you keep your emotions.

Yes it's but doing it for long period of time is not good. The best is to release all those emotions doing something else like running, painting, writing, volunteering etc

There isn't a way to block your emotions. You feel what you feel. You can hold back your response to your emotions, and should if it brings forth negative effects

I just listen to very loud music on my iphone and and that's what makes me have no emotions until the music stops.
