Can your skin get bruised when you pull a muscle?

Well, a bruise is basically the result of a traumatic blow to the tissue and the blood collecting from broken blood vessels. If you pulled a muscle so badly as to actually tear muscle fibers, I suppose a bruise could occur because the blood vessels in the torn fibers would leak blood into surrounding tissues.

No, unless you somehow broke a vein while doing so. A bruise is just a broken vessel and blood seeps into the surrounding interstitial tissues.

Yes your skin can bruise ( bleeding under the skin). Small tears within the muscle cause bleeding hence bruising. I doesnt always bruise but it definately can.
