Some people snore because vibrations of soft tissues located at the back of our throats causing the noisy, annoying sounds of snoring that sometimes prevent non-snorers from getting theirs. Actually My roomate snores, and there's not much that can be done outside of surgery!

Poor child. There are surgery alternatives.. I used an Rx nasal spray for a few years called Flonase. It finally shrunk the nasal membrane sufficiently. I don't snore any longer but I didn't get any better looking. Have her see an ENT. Every situation is different. In her case it could be a simple throat problem. BTW they do sell pretty comfortable ear plugs for your needs.
