My baby hedgehog escaped from her wire cage last night, how can I prevent this from happening again?

I woke up this morning to find Mali just enjoying herself in a stack of papers outside of her cage. She had barely fit through the bars. Other than buying a new cage, is there anything I can do?

you could try putting something such as a blanket on her cage but she might chew on it and eat it and get sick. other than that the only thing i can say is to buy a new cage

thanks :) she is the runt of the litter so she's tiny :)

Buy some cheap wiring and apply it horizontally. She won't be able to get out then.
