How do you tell which pineapples are best at the store?
I'm talking about whole, fresh pineapples.
You can tell which pineapple is the best at a store if it has a golden yellow color and is firm to a gentle press. In addition, it should have a sweet scent and avoid the ones that are green.
Pull on one of the top leaves and if it comes out pretty easily then you know its good!
just stopping by to say... I LOVE PINEAPPLES !
mmmm who said pineapple lol well just buy a fresh pineapple and cut it in your home xp
Pick one with as many green leaves as you can find. The fewer brown tips, the better. Let it sit on a window sill for a couple of days before you cut it. Then it should be at its ripest, juiciest, & sweetest!
You can ripen it by putting it in a paper bag with an apple, too.
I would just get the greenest one, and wait for it to ripen to a nice yellow brownish color.
If it has a golden yellow color and its hard to a gentle press its good
Throw every Pineapple at the stocker and see which one doesn't break.
