PLEASE ANSWER: Is it painful to get a tattoo? Is it healthy?

Very painful! Although it hurts, and the pain lasts probably about 24 hours, I want to warn you... it is addicting getting tattoos. I am not sure what makes it so addicting, but it is hard to stop at just one. I am not sure about the health aspects, but you are injecting ink under your skin.

Yes it is painful. Neutral on health.

It depends where your getting it and if it's professional then they will use new everthing..So yes if done in a clean eviroment it's safe..As for hurting I have a few and the one on my stomach and shoulder hurt..

A lot depends on your tolerance for pain, and exactly what part of your body you get the tattoo on, but it's definitely not the most comfortable thing to have done. For some people it might be like the pain of a bee sting, for others it might be one of the most horrible pains they've ever endured.

Yes it does hurt. The whole time someone us grinding into your skin with needles. Depending on what and where you put it the pain level varies. They are safe as long as you get them by a reputable tattoo artist. They have health codes etc they must abide by. I have a few tattoos and I love them.

It could be painful depending on where you plan to put it and how big you want it. I got my first tat when i was 16 on my arm and after like 20 mins my arm got numb so it really didnt hurt. As far as health you should be ok if you get it done by a professional and its a clean place. Also just make sure after the tat is done to take care of it, leave bandage on for a couple hours, no direct expose to sunlight and keep it moist. Vaseline worked great for my tats.

well yeah it is painful(i qot told] n it is harmful for your health.. your blood gets infected n when it tries to send something to somewhere else its already contaminated ..

Yes, there is pain in both applying and removal of a tattoo. The health risk of a tattoo comes if the needle is dirty. Tattoos can cause reaction or irritation if you have a sensitive or problematic skin.

I have 4 tattoos. I LOVE GETTING THEM!!! I laughed the last time I got one. I think it tickles. But I have a high pain tolerance. The first tattoo I ever got was unbearable. I cried the whole time. Then I got my second one and thought it tickled. So I think it mostly depends on when and where you get it placed. I would advise not just going anywhere to get a tattoo. Especially if u don't know the artist. Ask around to friends and family if they have tattoos. Find out who did theirs. You have to trust your artist. And always think the tattoo through. You don't want to get something you will end up regretting later. I dont think is necessarily unhealthy. Like i said...i have 4 and have never had any problems. But that goes along with the fact that you need to know who is doing the art. You need to trust that they are sanitary. Best of luck to u.

If you should ever decide to get one, remember that it is for life, unless you have it removed with a laser, and I have, now that really hurt.

I have not had one,but I have friends that do. When I asked if it hurt,they each had a different answer,but all agreed one one thing,"more thinned skin areas hurt worse." And yes,there are some serious health concerns to educate yourself on. Please be well informed on the risks before you do this. And be sure this is what you want because they don't hide easily.

I agree w John. I have 6 and all of them hurt. So if u get any remember you will live w it for a long time. Get a small one first time so u can see if u can bear the pain. Good luck. ;)

Depends how u take pain also depends where u are putting the tattoo. From my experience, not so painful, but I removed most of mines.

I've never gotten one and would NEVER get one, but they say they are painful. And they look trashy.
