What does it feel like to get a tattoo and how old do you have to be to get one? btw I'm not scared of needles.

Depending on your tolerance for pain, and exactly what part of your body you get the tattoo on... it can be mildly uncomfortable, or excruciatingly painful.

In most states you have to be at least 18 to get one, though in some cases you can do so at a younger age with parental consent.

It feels almost exactly like a sunburn that's been slapped. Every place that I know of you have to be 18 pr older and they (at least in WA state ) can not accept parental permission for kids under 18

They aren't as bad as people say, and the pain level will depend on the area being tattooed. If you're concerned, buy a local numbing cream such as Emla at a pharmacy. Age will depend on your region.

For me, I got a huge tattoo on my lower back and it was not bad at all. It felt like a bunch of ant bites simultaneously. When they colored it in, some of that felt like scratches from a razor blade. Not bad... Just keep in mind that the outcome is well worth it for something you really want. 18 is the legal age in the south.

The feeling of getting a tattoo will depend on how you will hold on to the pain. The position or location of the tattoo will determine the comfortability; it can be mildly uncomfortable, or agonizingly painful. Though sometimes you can get a tattoo at a younger age with approval from the parental, it is advisable to get it when you are at least 18 years old.

I can't imagine any legitimate tattoo artist doing work on someone that young, even with their parents permission.

I asked that same question yesterday and ppl mostly said it depends on pain tolerance and where you get it.
