Another way I've heard is buy a bass cd and every evening put it in a portable cd player take it out side lay it speaker side down and play it load but not all the way up just enough to vibrate the ground do this every evening from early dusk until dawn (that's why not to load you don't want to disturb your neighbors or keep your whole house up all night) in theory the vibrations from the bass should drive away not only skunks but all of natures pets

You could take some precautions that will keep skunks away from your yard. Cut down overgrown grass and keep the yard well groomed since skunks make habitats out of overgrown grass. Ensure that the lids on your garbage cans are tightly closed and avoid leaving any garbage or pet food dishes out in the yard.

Find out what it wants. Usually there is a source of food. Act quickly before they decide to move in. Remove any sources of food as well as tall grass. Sweetie73801 has a good idea. It worked for me in ridding my yard of night time raccoons. I put a portable radio on an all night talk show. The animals try and avoid humans. Hearing voices kept them away from my yard. But man-o-man did they tear up my neighbors yard.

You can get a spray from Lowes that has an offensive oder to animals( cats, dogs, squirrels skunks). It is safe to use and will discourage them from coming back.
