The Hunger Games novels are about a sixteen year old girl who is living in a post apocalyptic world. Kids between age 12 and 18 are chosen for an annual game with only one survivor. The book has been turned to a TV series and to a movie which have both been very successful. You can go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunger_Games for more information.

The Hunger Games is about a Girl named Katniss, who lives in District 12, one of the other eleven districts, that are all ruled by the Capitol, a rich city. There used to be 13 districts, but District 13 was destroyed during an uprising against the Capitol, which failed. And as punishment to all the other districts they hold an annual Hunger Games. The Hunger Games consists of twenty four teenagers from the ages 12 through 18, each chosen at random during the Reaping, who have to kill each other and survive. Each tribute is considered to be representing their districts but there can only be one winner. The winner gets money and a nice house. The winner's district gets food every month. Unfortunately Katniss's little sister Primrose gets chosen to compete in the Hunger Games, so Katniss volunteers as tribute. Now she must train to survive to win the Hunger Games. I tried my best to describe it if you need more information just comment.
