If your nose is stuffy from a cold then a quick fix can be found in nose sprays like Afrin or Dristan...keep in mind these sprays can be habit forming so don't use more then three days in a row...if this is from allergies I would suggest seeing your dr for a prescription instead of using over the counter medications.
Sudafed works for me on clearing all sinus and ear clogs. But beware, it's kind of like caffeine in that it hypes me up a LOT! So if u have heart problems, then u probably shouldn't take it. Good luck.
It depends on why your nose is stuffy. If it's sinus congestion, no amount of blowing will clear it as mucus is not causing the stuffiness. Be very careful using sinus sprays, continuous use can aggravate the condition making it worse. Also, if you have high blood pressure you should not use decongestants. If you have a sinus infection, neti pots can spread the infection deep into the sinus folds. I know people swear by them, but my doctor said she's seen more deep-seated infections caused by neti pots than the use is worth. Vapo Rub can help as can steam, but these are temporary and not necessarily the cure.
