Can painkillers make you twitch?

I have an ear infection that I've had for a month and it's EXTREMELY painful (the pain runs down the side of my face and jaw) and a sinus infection (extreme pain in my sinuses). My doctor prescribed me an antihistamine, antibiotic, and a painkiller. Since I've been taking the painkiller (I know that it's the one that's causing it because I'm only supposed to take it when I'm in pain) I've had random and violent leg and arm twitches. Mainly when I'm sitting still, trying to sleep, or really focused on something. Is this a normal symptom?

If some painkillers are taken without a proper prescription they can actually cause some uncontrollable muscle spasms. However, this varies from one drug to another since their respective side effects may be very different. Visit a medical doctor for more professional advice.
