No I have a parrot. at show and tell (when I was in third grade) I brought my parrot when he was one year old and people thought it was cool until it started cusing at the teacher in Spanish she didn't understand until the Spanish teacher came to tell the teacher what it was saying I didn't teach it that my aunt did but that was funny
No, guinea pigs are great. They make good companions for anybody, and they're very forgiving of human error, which a 13-year-old boy can be expected to make. Don't let anybody tell you that you have a weird pet. Your pet is your friend, and you wouldn't let anyone tell you that you have a weird friend, right?
Not the least bit funny, or silly, or not masculine, either, if that's what you're really worried about. Guinea pigs have been popular pets for all ages of people from as young as 2 or 3, clear up to folks in their 90s! They're charming and interesting critters, who have been pets since the late 1800s. In their native countries in Central America, they're kept as meat animals, but here, they've become members of the family for all manner of people.
