Why are you people so quick to think that this person committed this awful crime.

A person may be jailed for a minimum of 4 years or do a 15 years sentence. In some cases the offender may be given a life sentence as the Kansas state takes felony child abuse very seriously.

I wish that were true. My grandson was recently abused by his father (who is a registered sex offender) and the police, SRS, no one my daughter has went to is doing anything. She was able to obtain a temporary PFA however her attorney is cautioning that fathers have equal rights and not to expect the PFA to be granted for the year it runs. :( Very sad for my grandbaby.
