What should i do since my iPod has picture of the cord pointing to iTunes but everytime I hook it up to iTunes (read more)

it says cannot connect iPod to iTunes because it's locked with a passcode. you must enter your passcode before you can use it with iTunes. how can I get it to that lock screen or restore it without using iTunes or send it back to the company

You should do a power off/on cycle. This is done by holding the top (sleep) button down until you see the swipe to power off, red arrow om the screen. Power back on by pushing the same button for 1 sec.
