When you're cooking scallops, how do you know when they're ready?

Report as

Raw Scallops have a glossy white look that will turn to a solid white when they are done. Be sure to take them out as soon as they get done or they will shrivel up to nothing. Once they are coated for frying it is harder to see the color but generally, once the coating is brown the scallop is done.

You can also steam them, that's how I like them.If you want to put them on the grill, make sure you use a (grill spray) as not to have them stick. Cook about 5 to 7 minutes on each side. Yummmmmy!
