In other countries, do they learn British English spelling or American English spelling?

In countries that don't speak English as a first language but are required to learn to speak it, do they teach British spelling or American?

Most countries, for example France, Spain, Germany, Sweden etc, all learn British English in the same way that we learn French from France not Quebec, Spanish from Spain not Argentina and Portuguese from Portugal not from Brazil. However, I think that countries in the Americas like Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil etc, learn American English because it's closer and also many people from Latin America move up into the United States of America.

English is English -- they are pronounced and spelled the same.

Not all words are spelled the same way. In British English, they spell color colour, practice practise, gray grey and many other words.

Oh, now I get what you mean! Sorry. My best guess is American English spelling.

In my opinion, I think it depends on the English they use. Most countries which were colonized by British, they use British English. British English as well as American English is mostly in agreement and there are however some interesting variations. Check more on http://esl.fis.edu/grammar/easy/aebe.htm.
