Why is there a light in the fridge but not in the freezer?

the poor freezer is living in the dark and the fridge gets the spotlight :( (wow I'm a weirdo)

Probably depends on the type of freezer, mine has one.

Actually, the fridge is dark when you close it. And also, the fridge is opened more often ( at least at my house) and has a light probably for midnight snacks or something.

Freezers with lights can stack goodies in them six-deep...need a light to browse around & pick the right one...don't have that kind of room or need with a no-light freezer!

The fridge has a light in it, because it gets opened more. To get snacks or something out of it. The freezer is really for all the dinner goods and more, but you need a light in it too, in order to find the foods you are looking for :) Make sure you always close both doors of the freezer and fridge so you don't get food poison

Many freezers have lights. Nearly all new ones do.
