Is it true that the sooner you send your app to University the better chance you have to get in?

I mean dont they wait until the final due date and then start the selection process?

It is not true that the sooner you send your application the better chance you have. However, it creates an advantage if you are to be taken. There are many factors considered like your performance in school, your interests and also your college essays for application. Earlier is always best. Some schools have waiting lists. However some schools have rolling admissions, where they accept and review applications all the time with no deadlines.

Most places don't start the selection process until the due date. The only reason you might want to send an application in early would be so you can check to make sure they received it. If it got lost in the mail somehow, you would still have time to send another copy.
