Oleander Bushes Poisonous to Animals.
How much of a problem is this to young children ( up to 7 years) and dogs?

The shrub contains a toxic compound known as oleandrin and neriine that can cause death when ingested by small children or a dog. A small amount of the ingested shrub is known to cause lethal and near lethal effects in humans.
