Yes, Grass looks Greener on the Other Side, Because It's the Grass that you don't have, The Saying Points out Precisely this Aspect of Some People's Psychology that they think that what they want is Better than what they have and in many Cases they could be Wrong, The Grass is NOT always Greener on the Other Side .
We all have that notion that it's much greener on the other side, but usually that's not always the case. Just because this side doesn't look too green doesn't mean that things are any better on the other side. But again, what is life without hope.
Agreed lulabelle. We are all guilty of what we don't have or admire of others we wished we had too. I am amazed at the African children who smile tho seem to have so little, well to whose standard I guess? Focus on what we have, appreciate it and less focus is on what we don't have. I hate the saying but its true, there is always someone else worse off than you. It doesn't make me feel better because I don't thrive off others less fortune or pain. When I want more for myself I just aim higher and help others to climb that staircase to where they want to be too.
It depend on how you want to interpret it, for instance, in a relationship, you see a couple, they are loving, everything looks perfect on the outside that could be grass looking greener, however, on the other side, he could be beating her ass everyday, we don't know that, all we know is everything looks peachy on the outside but he put her through hell on the other side. We don't know what a lot of people goes through, because we are on the outside looking in!
In other words, the grass always looks greener, that doesn't mean it is!
