How many syllables does 'every' have?
actually a good question... if u sound it out, it sounds like it would have three, but nobody actually pronounces it as ev-e-ry... we just say it like ev-ry. so i would say 2 but idk i could be wrong.
Just looked in the dictionary and it's divided in two.
2 and why would you need to post that question. are you really that lazy to figure that out for yourself? no offense or anything but that is a little strange
2 or 3
Two in the US, Three in the UK. (Eighteen in Brooklyn!)
The dictionary says 2.Say this with 2 syllables; Eve-ry one sit or eve-ry one gets detention.= rightNow with 3 syllables; Ev-e-ry one sit or ev-e-ey one gets detention.= wrong.
It's 2 syllables... ev-reehttp://dictionary.reference.com/browse/every
It depends how you say it.. If you say it like ev-ry it's 2 if you say it like ev-er-y it's 3
2. Here's a tip. Put your hand under your chin, and say the word. Every time your chin hits your hand is a syllable.
