You need to consult a physician or chiropractor to help you with your neck issues. You may have an underlying condition such as beginning arthritis which you inadvertently exacerbate by not treating it properly. In the meantime, some things to try are a new pillow, a different mattress, and changing the height of your computer monitor if you use it frequently. Also stop and think about what you were doing right before your neck started hurting. My husband's neck always hurts during tilling and planting season because of turning around constantly and checking the equipment he is using as he is driving tractor.
Invest in a better pillow, that helped me out.A message every once in a while is good to.I seen you on here,so I guess your at your computer a lot,a head roll and a self message on the base of your neck would help at computer time.
Sounds like you need a better pillow and to sone stretching every day Also take note of how you sit and your posture. What activities make your neck stiff? See if you can adjust how your body is positioned to improve your posture.
