Why does my nose bleed out of random? and how to stop a nose bleed please help!!

Report as

There are a number of possible reasons but if this a frequent occurrence you should see a doctor. When you are in dry environments your mucous membranes (lining inside of nose and elsewhere) can dry out making it bleed more easily. So try adding humidifier or use normal saline nose spray to add moisture. To stop bleeding can use an ice pack on face and pinch the nose between thumb and index finger holding pressure in place for at least several minutes. Good luck! Hope this helps!

Idk why about the random bleedings but you should go see a doctor. And to stop it, you should put a price of tissue in your nose and tilt your head back so it won't gush down.

The nose bleeding can be as a result of dry air that causes the skin to dry. The mucus in your nose can be made to crack easier thus causing the bleeding. You can avoid this by getting a humidifier or a saline spray for the nose. To stop the bleeding, press your thumb firmly against the side of your nostril to close it, sit or stand still and lean slightly forward to stop the blood from running to your throat. Fold up a paper towel and place it between your upper lip and gums on the inside of your mouth. The bleeding should stop relatively quickly. An old wilderness survival trick.

i get this all the time too. You probably just have a blood vessel that is really close to the skin in your nose. It's so thin that you can actually break it by sneezing. There's a procedure to cauterize the vessel, but it's never 100% effective. plus it's literally a hot wire up your nose.

I've stopped it by pinching your nose with a tissue and look down, not up. you don't want to vomit blood. it'll freak you out. if you want your hands, shove it up your nose... or use a tampon like Amanda Bynes :D
