Two things: (1) 20 to 30 minutes of cardio exercise a few times a week -- running, biking, swimming, etc., and (2) abdominal exercises. I hear the "bicycle" is one of the best -- just lay on your back and pretend to pedal a bike -- keep your legs far down to increase the intensity. Personally I would not fall for ab exercise gadgets and gimmicks -- keep it simple. It takes work not products.
And of course, cut back on your calories. Focus on portion control and cut back on high calorie drinks like beer and soda.
Cardio is the best thing for you (ellipticals are best; not as hard on your knees and legs). Weight training also helps somewhat, but cardio is definitely what you need. Also, if you eat a lot of fat, cut down on it. And remember, belly fat is by far the toughest to lose, so if you don't see improvement right away, keep at it. It'll happen.
The main workout for losing fat is cardio. It is important to do cardio everyday if you want to start losing the pouch. As you exercise, cut down on the amount of snacks you eat and consider eating healthy food.
If you have had children a small amount of that pouch may never go away since those muscles actually separate when our bellys grow and do not go back together leaving a small pouch right above your bikini line.
