When you divide decimals what do you do with the divisor? What does that mean you have to do the dividend?

When you divide decimals, you have to multiply the dividend with a power of 10 so as to make it a whole number first. You also multiply the divisor by the same power of 10 that you used for the dividend. For example, if you're dividing 6.3 by 2, you will multiply both numbers by 10 to have 63/20.
