Military Time is the 24-hour system for telling time and it begins with 0000 hours. This system of time is usually from midnight to midnight for the completion of one day. Time is read in 24-hour intervals, and not in 12-hour intervals, the day starts at 00:00 that is 12:00 midnight.

Military time is a 24 hour based system.
In our time, let's say it is 8:00am
In military time it is also 8:00

But if it is 2:00pm, Military time would read 14:00

Basicly, they have removed the am and pm, and just keep counting the hours.

I hope this helped!

They use military time for specifics. Like if someone says 5:00, it could be 5:00PM or AM. So instead, to avoid any confusions, they say 0500 for 5:00AM and 1700 for 5:00PM.

Another example: 4:30PM ---> 1630
4:30AM ---> 0430

1am-12noon are the same. 1300 is 1 pm, 1400 is 2 Pm, 1500 is 3 pm etc to midnight, which is 2400. 12:01 am is 0001 twelve-o-two am is 0002, ect. Until 1 am. Got it?

1am thur 1200pm are normal

example: 0100 and 1200

But to translate pm times just add 12.

1pm is 1 + 12 which would be 1300

5pm is 5 + 12 which would be 1700

Hope that makes it easier!
