Because of the strong following that exists for the Windows XP op system, you can probably still download a driver for this.
First close down all your open programs through Control Panel.
Go to the site and check out their listings of XP drivers.
If your type of card does not have a driver listed for it-or a close one-then go the "search for" box, and type in "need driver for xp VGA card ______". In that space, type in the exact name of the card you want to install.
If you get no response, then I would call their Customer Service line. It will be an 800 type free call, but once connected, an agent will tell you that it costs around $25 for assistance from a live Windows expert. You might want to do this, if use of this VGA card is still important enough to you. Tell them ALL the problems, and more important--tell them what causes it to happen.

IF they still have a driver it will cost you nothing more to download it.
If not, you can pack it away in the box where you keep old cards and parts!
(PS--I am assuming you have already contacted the company that makes this VGA card, told them about the slow system result, and asked them about finding a driver for their product)
Good luck finding what you need.
