If your tooth is throbbing, it is more than likely abscessed. Contact a dentist immediately. SInce this is Easter weekend, if you cannot contact your dentist, go to an emergency room so that they can evaluate you for infection and prescribe antibiotics if necessary. They may also give you something for the pain. Tooth infection is nothing to fool around with, so don't just try to wish it away. Feel better soon!
If goes away quickly; it's just a throbbing and there is nothing to worry about. However, if the throbbing continues and develops pain it, may be a sign for an infection. You should see a doctor for better diagnosis and treatment.
