You would pay the amount that the administration wants you too. That amount will be so high that you will be forced to accept health insurance from the government. Therefore, private insurance companies will go out of business. EVERYONE will be on government healthcare, which is socialized medicine. Medical care will be rationed and hard to come by. The US will become a socialistic nation and face the same horrors as Greece and some other nations.
I think for the seniors enrolled in Medicare Advantage or the Prescription Drug Plan they will receive a 50% discount on brand name drugs immediately with additional prescription drug discounts to follow under Obama's health care reform. Check out "healthreform.gov" and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_reform_in_the_United_States for more details.
It depends on your income. If you make more than 200% of the federal poverty level (FPL), you must get at minimum a high deductible health plan. These can often be as inexpensive as under $100 per month and are set by private insurers. If you make less than 200% of the FPL, your state will be required to accept you under their medicaid program at no cost to you.
