With the current oil consumption rate, about how long would it take for the United States to burn all the oil in Alaska's North Slope

With the degradation of the machinery, rate of seepage, & just plain poor construction and/or poor maintence - if we have 40 years like is claimed I'd be very surprised.
The rate of time to re establish nature back to its pre drilling state? Just curios...

It will take about at least 40 years to burn the oil. If we are lucky, we will burn the oil for about 65 years. That's what most scientists have predicted but they are not sure.
