How does ask.com know your age?

I see some people acting like ten year olds and was wonder how can ask.com know if you are under 13.

I think some parents have parental controls on their computer, so their kids show up as "copa12345" automatically, (Child Online Protection Act). The others give it away sooner or later in a question.
