What are some legitimate reasons to resign from your job?

Someone I know is having a very hard time with a couple of co workers to the point of just saying forget it & find somethng else, is this a good enough reason to resign from a job, the managers arent making it any better,,, so what else is it to do??

Get another job before you do. Plan ahead. If its just something like 'I don't get along with my boss or coworkers ' then suck it up and grow up. If there are some serious things going on then quit. Just get another job first. Be responsible about it.

Yea ur right, but its like the co workers are telling lie after lie & what makes it so bad the boss know that the co workers are lieing but he still goes along with the lies,,, I dont understand that & so... I fiugure just resign & get it over with because all the lies & harassment will only get worse

Ya, I'd quit too but get a job first. I don't like being out of work and you wouldn't be able to get unemployment if you quit.

but would you be able to get unemployment for difficult work environment or harassment?

Well my mom just resigned from her job because of too much stress which put her in the hospital...so if it is something like that then I guess it's ok...

It is much wiser to stay depending on the amount of trouble. this is all probably just jealousy. but it the person is willing to leave should find another job first. but if all other aspects about the current employment is good might wanna stay and try figure out how to deal with them. say mean things back in a non threatening and nice way when they say mean and hurtful things. or ignore them. I did both alternatively. I came out of it alive. good luck!

If its stressing her out to the point that she's feeling like its harassment then she 1st needs to go over the managers heads seeings they're not helping. She should do everything possible to get a warning given to them instead of her having to quit. If she really feels that she can't take it then she needs to get another job before she quits. Otherwise, she could go from being harassed to being depressed when she has no money :( I hope it gets better for her.
