My goodness! Take pictures, read the history of it, sit in awe of it. Draw it. Feel it's power and enjoy the wonderful intrigue of water and the people who made the dam work. Try to figure out how much weight and force is working against that wall every second of every day. Make up your own story about it. Have fun!
Like many tourist areas the locals use the focal point to set up their businesses. It's always fun to hang out around local spots named after the attraction. You'd have lunch at the "Dam Restaurant" cruise over to the Dam Driving Range, go back to your room at the Dam Hotel, maybe hit the Dam Gym. Always hit the Dam Bar,, Wake up the next day & rent a car at the Dam Rental Place, hit a lot of Dam stores-I think you get the point
