Why is it bad for 13 year old to date?

I was wondering because when i was that age my parents wouldn't let me date.

I don't think dating alone is harmful at 13, but dating often leads to more serious and intimate relationships that, quite frankly, 13-year-olds are simply not mature enough to handle. But for that matter I've seen countless adults who are still not mature enough to handle the relationships they've gotten themselves into.

a 13 year old should concentrate in school, playing some kinda od sport, and having fun just with friends, dating will come later! in my opinion

13 is much less mature than the ready age, you will most likely have a hard time if you dated so early.

Be a kid those years are few and far between. You have plenty of years ahead to get mixed up in all that dating business. Enjoy your youth it will be gone before you know it

I think it is good for young kids to figure out dating before enter a legitimate relationship, but often dating at that age is more so the result of the kids trying to follow the cultural hint to date, rather then infatuation, this can lead to poor decisions.

Don't forget that's the age for some girls to be able to get pregnant & for boys to be able to get girls pregnant. Not a good idea for someone that age to be having kids. Plus what could you possibly be doing while dating at that age (besides what grown-ups & older teens do)?! Stuff you have no business doing.

Dating in younger people leads to mistakes that are regretted for ever. Also, a lot of people who date that young are nasties. :)

I'm 13.
A lot of kids are dating in middle school.
These relationships don't tend to last, and the kids are heartbroken, they get mad, retaliate, etc.
While some of the couples kiss, it rarely gets to this extent or further.
In my opinion, I think 13 is too young..and that's coming from me, being that I'm 13.
A relationship is fun and hard to resist, but many parents disagree with this age because of the "13 and pregnant" stories, which are very rare.
No one my age that I know of would consider having sex at such a young age, honestly.
Some kids have such innocent intentions and high hopes but have strict parents.

no one should date at thirteen!!!!!!!!!! its just wrong!!!!!! it happened to me, i should know!!!!!!!!!! my heart was broken and i will not date until college!!!!!!
